Point of Contact is a collaborative duet between Tunisian choreographer Haroun Ayari and Filipino-American choreographer Benny Royce Royon. The piece explores conflict and resolution, the exchange of ideas, and the development of a shared movement vocabulary between two different perspectives through gestural and energetic movements.
Haroun and Benny Royce first met during the DanceMotion USA professional development program as learning partners. Their shared passion for experimentation, collaboration, and contemporary dance led them to create this project together.
Performed in Tunis (May 2018) and New York (August 2017 and April 2018).
